QS World University Rankings is an annual publication of university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). Previously it was known as Times Higher Education – QS Rankings. The QS Ranking system now Comprises the overall and subject rankings of five independent regional tables. And now, the QS World Ranking has been published for the year 2021. This time Seven Indian Engineering institutes have grabbed the position in the world’s top 200 list. According to the QS World University ranking by subject 2021 IIT-Bombay has emerged as the top universities in the country by global ranking index.

As per QS Ranking 2021, Indian Universities in 25 courses has been figured out as top 100 by QS ranking by subjects. And 3 Indian institutes of technology have entered the elite group of top 100 engineering institutes with IIT Bombay has spotted a best 49th rank in the engineering and technology. IIT Delhi achieved 54th rank, and IIT Madras grabbed 94th rank and ranked 144 in computer science and information system. IISC Bangalore spotted the number one position in the NIRF 2020 and placed the 92nd place for natural sciences. IIT Bombay spotted as 114th rank, IIT Madras at 187th place and IIT Delhi at 210th place.
The Courses Petroleum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering of IIT Madras get top 100 in the QS World University. IIT – Bombay and IIT- Kharagpur has spotted 41 and 44 positions in mineral and mining engineering. Furthermore, Anna University achieved 388th ranks in QS world University.

QS University Ranking 2021 by subjects have assessed these universities by four key parameters. That includes academic reputation, employer reputation, research citation per paper and H- Index. As per QS World University, the H- Index is measured by both the productivity and impact of the work. And the index is measured by a set of cited papers and the numbers of citations they have received in other publications.
