Due to COVID-19, all the educational institutions were closed for nearly a year. And the Students were attending online classes and online examinations. Currently, the Nov/Dec 2020 semester examination has been going live, and the students were taking online semester examinations. As the number of COVID-19 cases has been decreasing, TN Government ordered to reopen schools for classes 10 and 12. Following this, Anna University and its affiliated Colleges reopen on 08-02-2021.

From the Anna University Notification, the government has extended the lockdown with some relaxation till 28-02-2021. Also, permissions were given for the reopening of universities and reopening colleges to all UG and PG Students. This includes colleges reopen for the students belonging to Arts, Science, Engineering & Technology, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Veterinary. For those students, colleges will operate from 08-02-2021 following the standard operating procedures. Further, the classes for M.E/M. Tech, MBA, MCA courses the class will function from 08/03/2021. Moreover, hostels were given permission to function following the instructions provided by the Tamil Nadu Government for COVID-19.
